ufrgsmun back in school

In 2007 UFRGSMUN was BACK IN SCHOOL. As a result of its commitment to the society, UFRGSMUN staff developed a program to bring the UN principles to High School students, showing them how global issues relate to their lives. UFRGSMUN BACK IN SCHOOL combines classroom activities with UN simulation, giving students an opportunity to acquire knowledge while learning from each other.

In 2008, following the efforts of making UFRGSMUN a full-year project that involves both the academic and non-academic communities, we are proudly BACK IN SCHOOL again! Thus UFRGSMUN BACK IN SCHOOL prepared a multidisciplinary program that intends to call up High School students' attention to one of the most debated international issues of the last decade: global warming. Through lectures on the matter guided by our staff and a simulation where everything learned can be put into practice, these students will understand better not only the relations between different countries, but the whole world they live in.

By the end of 2008, UFRGSMUN BACK IN SCHOOL will have reached more than 300 students from different Schools from Porto Alegre; only a first step on the effort of spreading the UN principles among High Schools in Rio Grande do Sul. This is UFRGSMUN working for the development of our society. This is UFRGSMUN reaching a common language.
